Theme

This year’s theme is “The Multipurpose Cadastre as a basis for Sustainable Development”, which will be discussed at the event’s round tables and will include the participation of representatives of public agencies, such as institutes, municipalities and public sectors relevant to the event’s theme. Therefore, it is necessary to show society that there are adequate technologies and tools to manage the territory.

Society, in general, calls for transparency in public administration. It is precisely at this point that the use of scientific-technological tools becomes relevant. After all, they combine the knowledge acquired by teaching and research institutions and the experience of public and private bodies, in favor of social equity and transparent and assertive government investment policies. The Multipurpose Territorial Cadastre supports such needs, because from its databases, numerous actions and services can be developed for the benefit of society. Hence its importance as a tool to support sustainable development.
