The Ministry of Cities is the federal body responsible for public policies related to urban development, housing, basic sanitation and urban mobility. Its initiatives directly influence the development of urban and regional areas.
From the re-creation of the Ministry in 2023, the reformulation of the National Program for Capacity Building of Cities (Capacities), which is dedicated to the study of the integration of cities in an integrated way, guided by principles of sustainability and inclusion in the urban environment. Within the scope of the program, the project “Multifinalitary Territorial Cadastre applied to Municipal Management” was developed, in conjunction with the Federal University of Santa Catarina, exploring perspectives and implementations of the Multifinalitary Territorial Register according to the new norms related to the Register established in the Order no 3.242, of 9 November 2022, of the Ministry of Regional Development.
